2-day Immersive Tiling Workshop with Rhett Harkins

This is a 2-day workshop, each day is 4 hours long. *Pack Your Lunch!* DIYD will provide light snacks.

• Day 1 - Saturday, January 13th - 10AM-2PM
• Day 2 - Sunday, January 14th - 10AM-2PM

In this immersive Tiling Workshop, participants with have the opportunity to tile a real kitchen backsplash, from start to finish. Along the way, we will learn about as many elements of professional tiling as possible, from:

• Materials needed for a tiling job, with professional recommendations of the best products
• Tools needed for a tiling job, and how to use them skillfully and safely
• Design elements of a tiling job, including tile options, layout recommendations, and finishing/trimming materials
• Tile setting technique, from spreading thinset and mastic, to setting the tile, to grouting

Please note: This workshop is in a different space than our usual workshops. We will be tiling the kitchen backsplash at the Cincinnati Toolbank’s new training center at 1682 E. Seymour Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45237. There is a free parking lot surrounding the building.
