Scott Simpson

Scott is a Historic Preservationist, specializing in wood and plaster repairs, as well as assisting with registration process for owners of historic buildings who desire federal and or state recognized historic status. Scott is a West Price Hill resident, who grew up in Hamilton, OH, and attended the University of Cincinnati, where he first received a Bachelor Degree in English Literature and Composition, and then, a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from the College of Design, Art, Architecture & Planning (DAAP). He is also the holder of a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) he received from the Cincinnati Permaculture Institute, which he implements into his work by favoring non-toxic, more eco-friendly approaches, with emphasis on repair as an alternative to replacement, as well as conscious effort to decrease waste of materials. He has worked many different trades, in many different industries including education, construction, landscaping, hospitality, music production, arts and entertainment.Always wanting to learn new things, and keep his skill sets diverse; Scott has a passion for architectural history, playing guitar, playing drums, writing, spicy food, visits to art galleries, and working on his own house. Scott is also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys gardening, fishing, hiking, and kayaking.
